Two women committed suicide inside IIT Madras on Wednesday night. Both were found hanging at their rooms, one is a research scholar and the second victim is the wife of a professor. According to the police, the professor's wife had attempted suicide earlier. The women have been identified as 34-year-old post-doctoral research scholar P Maheswari and 47-year-old Vijaya Lakshmi.
